How can one manage rage, anger, irritation, and other emotions in a healthy manner?
Here is how Master answered this question during a retreat satsang ⬆️
Emotions are energy that manifests in the physical body, thoughts and state of mind.
Distress often arises when reality doesn’t match our expectations. We chase a specific outcome, and when it doesn’t happen, we’re left with irritation, resentment, anxiety, or disappointment.
Master Imram says,
“Realise that all your feelings are the Creator expressing Himself as energy. But do not focus on how that energy is coloured.”
Kriya practice encourages us not to suppress unpleasant feelings, nor to judge them, or become entangled in them. What matters is that we notice the emotion, acknowledge its presence, bring awareness to it, and then transform it.
This skill develops gradually through regular practice, as we learn to manage energy via thought, breath, and attention.
As you meditate and concentrate on specific areas of the body, your attention is gradually released from the grip of the experience. By consciously directing attention, you will find that tension and clouded states dissolve, yielding to a sense of clarity and inner calm.
