Khechari Mudra — The Queen of All Mudras

Khechari Mudra is a powerful tool for the evolution of consciousness and an important practice for those who are serious about the study of yoga. It offers a path towards a state in which consciousness becomes free from the limitations of the mind.

At its core, Khechari involves a specific position of the tongue. According to the Science of Kriya, this practice activates several important mechanisms.

• Control of prana flow: the mudra redirects energy through the ida, pingala and sushumna channels, helping to prevent the loss of vital energy.
• Brain stimulation: stretching in the sublingual nerves activates the medulla oblongata, boosting communication between the brain’s hemispheres.
• Impact on the endocrine system: advanced forms of Khechari Mudra stimulate the pituitary gland. Master Imram describes this as a process of bodily healing and rejuvenation.
• Accessing higher states: the mudra directs energy towards the higher centres and accelerates deeper meditative states.
Khechari Mudra is considered an advanced technique, and mastering it requires preparation and awareness.

Further Study of Khechari Mudra:
🔸 “Mysterious Khechari Mudra” — a short online lecture by Master Imram
The lecture explores the sacred significance of the practice, providing the keys to correct execution and revealing the subtleties of inner work that lead to profound results.

Can Kriya practice influence physical wellbeing?

Yoga views the body and consciousness as a single integrated system, where physiological processes and mental states are inextricably linked. As a holistic method, Kriya engages both the physical body and neurophysiological pathways.

It’s important to understand: Kriya Yoga is not a replacement for medical treatment, and improved wellbeing is not the primary aim of the practice. The benefits observed by practitioners are a natural consequence of the system returning to a state of balance.

Through consistent practice we master:

  • conscious breath control
  • scientific concentration techniques
  • careful management of attention
  • clearing the mind of unnecessary tension
  • body naturally shifts from a state of stress into optimal functioning

From Kriya’s perspective, physical discomfort is viewed as a sign that the natural flow of energy has been disrupted and the connection to the inner source has weakened.

Kriya practice helps redirect attention inward. Breathwork techniques and deep, conscious concentration help to restore natural self-regulation and reveal the inner potential of the body temple.

⬆️ A Safe and Efficient Way to Transition to a New Diet

The body’s biochemistry is directly influenced by what we eat. Suddenly giving up familiar foods can place the body under stress. Retaining a “cellular memory,” the body always requires time for a gentle, supportive transition and adaptation.

Changing your diet calls for mindfulness and an individual approach. Imram recommends gaining a deeper understanding of the subject and transitioning gradually towards a new diet, avoiding any extremes.

How do dietary changes affect your wellbeing and inner state?

What Direct Transmission in Yoga Really Means

In yoga, there is a concept that is difficult to explain in words, but easy to feel. It is known as direct transmission.

We usually associate learning with explanations, techniques, and theory. But in yoga, there is also another level of interaction between teacher and student — one that exists beyond words.

When a practitioner is able to sit in silence, meditation stops being merely a method of self-observation. It becomes a subtle form of communication. If someone has never practised meditation, it can be difficult for them to recognise this process. They simply do not yet have the means to perceive it.

In the yogic tradition, meditating alongside an experienced practitioner is considered an important part of learning. Students would often come to Masters simply to sit quietly nearby and meditate together. Outwardly, nothing appears to happen, yet inwardly there is a shift — a change of state.

This is what is known as direct transmission. It is not information, not a technique, and not an energetic influence. It is a state of shared presence in the moment that helps deepen meditation practice. To experience it, all that is needed is attentiveness and awareness — the ability to remain in silence without being swept away by thoughts, while staying inwardly open.

After our online meditations, many people describe similar experiences: a deeper state, a calmer mind, and concentration that comes more easily than when practising alone. Some seminar participants shared that before meeting Master, they meditated, but without consistency or a clear system.

Participants said they gained valuable experience, deeper meditation within a live field, new states of awareness, and a clearer understanding of how to develop their practice further.

Friends, if you feel ready for a deeper stage of practice, we would be delighted to welcome you to the seminar in Almaty, on September 26-27. Registration will open shortly. Stay tuned for updates on our website http://imram-kriya.com/ and social media channels.

In the Kriya tradition, knowledge is passed on in person. The in-person format of the seminar allows participants to immerse themselves more deeply in the practice and gain direct experience.

Imram’s “6 Steps of Self-Realisation” seminar is more than just a source of inspiration. It is the transmission of a complete system: breathwork techniques, methods of energisation and concentration, the practice of the “42 Kriyas,” three forms of meditation, combined with a comprehensive framework for daily practice.

A live immersive experience could become an important step in deepening your practice…

We invite you to take part in an intensive two-day practical training in the Kriya method.

This seminar is offered exclusively in person, as profound wisdom and experience can only be transmitted through direct personal presence.

The Essence of the 6 Steps Technology
As Master Imram explains, the 6 Steps of Self-Realisation represent a sequential immersion into—or elevation of—six levels of consciousness… The entire system is structured around 12 key principles and techniques.
Beginning with the physical level, the practitioner gradually starts to perceive and explore subtler dimensions: the etheric, astral, mental, and causal planes, ultimately reaching the Spirit (Atman).
Our body reflects all of these levels. Practicing the 12 techniques allows you to bring these planes under conscious control and rise above your ordinary self.

Seminar curriculum
· Day 1 (fundamental techniques)
Seated energisation practices and the 42 Kriyas standing sequence for awakening the brain and transforming bodily patterns. Мeditations on Breath, Sound, and Light.
· Day 2 (advanced techniques)
Transmission of profound methods, including Maha Mudra, Guru Pranam, and Jyoti Mudra, as well as the Theory of the Vessel of Transcendental Power.

Results
Seminar participants often describe experiencing profound inner peace, a renewed outlook on life, a surge of energy, clarity of mind, a deeper understanding of the essence of Kriya, as well as motivation for consistent home practice.

No prior experience or special preparation is required. The seminar introduces a system of Kriya techniques and principles that will help you establish a conscious and consistent practice. ✨

The upcoming Seminar will be held on September 26–27 in Almaty. Registration will open shortly. Stay tuned for updates on our website http://imram-kriya.com/ and social media channels.

Stay present. Stay aware.

Why is the astral plane mentioned in meditation? Answering a question from the comments

The astral body is a certain level of consciousness that holds our emotions, experiences, and the world of desires.

During meditation, a person gradually moves through the energy centers (chakras), and consciousness naturally “visits” different planes, including the astral one. Within a person’s structure, the Higher bodies always govern the lower ones.

In the science of Kriya, the method of scientific concentration is used to manage energies. When the mind is purified and calmed through practice, it harmonises all the structures below it: the astral, etheric, and physical bodies. The control of processes always happens through the higher center – our consciousness – and consciousness itself is born from superconsciousness.

That is why there is no need to create an artificial external “protection” during meditation – the purity and control of the mind naturally bring order to the energies of all subtle planes.
