Imram Kriya: 20th anniversary special
✨ In 2025, the Imram Kriya project marks its 20th anniversary!
To celebrate this important milestone, Imram took part in a special live stream to discuss the core principles of spiritual practice.
Watch the anniversary special today at 4 PM UTC
In this heartfelt conversation, joined by his devoted wife, Khadija, Imram offered profound insights into his teaching path and outlined crucial aspects of self-development. Inspiring viewer stories also enriched the discussion, highlighting the unified spiritual practice we share with our audience.
Thank you for your presence and attention! We look forward to continuing this shared spiritual journey together.
Can We Change Our Destiny?
Imram says: yes, we can. Destiny is no fiction. Karma is no fiction. Yet the course of life begins to shift when one learns the laws that govern existence and becomes a conscious participant in one’s own destiny.
Those who act with awareness transform their thinking. Those who bring the power of consciousness into their daily lives soon discover that life can indeed turn around — sometimes by a full 180 degrees. This is not a coincidence but the fruit of deep inner work.
“Information is always there. The imprint of past deeds endures within our spiritual centres. But we can always choose to move forward and live righteously, transcending the law of karma. And then karma, softened, departs.”
In this video, Imram explains how even seemingly predetermined events may unfold in new ways, and how understanding the laws of the Universe can help transform what appears to be a fixed path.
Principles of Body Energisation
Special kriyas (exercises) help to enhance concentration and cultivate the centre of will, through which we can control the life force and focus it on specific areas of the body.
The practice rests on three main components: movement, a specialised form of breathing, and the deliberate directing of attention. By tensing particular parts of the body, we draw energy into them; by releasing the tension, we let go of accumulated physical and mental strain.
When performing energisation techniques, it is essential to remember that inner effort outweighs outward action.
Prana, the life force, flows into every part of the body and transforms it through your mental projection. This is the purposeful awakening of prana. As prana begins to stir, one develops a heightened awareness of the body and gains the ability to bring about deep, inner transformation.

BODY ENERGISATION: WHAT IS IT?
It would be a mistake to imagine body energisation as simply filling it with energy.
In Kriya, energisation refers to subtle, profound work with the body that unfolds across several dimensions at once: the physical, the etheric, the astral, and the mental. It applies spiritual principles to lift our perception to its highest potential.
At our core, we are energy with enormous potential. Yet it remains dormant, unable to fully manifest, because it lacks the force of self-awareness.
❇️ In Kriya, the energisation techniques cultivate awareness inside the body and refine it in numerous ways:
· strengthening the muscles;
· purifying the blood;
· infusing the cells with light;
· awakening the brain;
· forming new interhemispheric connections.
Regular practice gradually dissolves negative patterns held in both the body and the subconscious mind, while enhancing concentration and strengthening the will.
❇️ Kriya teaches two methods of energisation: one practised in a seated posture and the other performed standing.

The practice of Kriya awakens true knowledge. It is a science capable of guiding you in every sphere of your life. For example, when you write a book, you rely on concentration and creative thought, yet you still require a muse — in other words, a source of insight. Through the techniques of Kriya Yoga, you can freely and without effort enter the noosphere, the realm of information, drawing from it the knowledge you need. You don’t sip wisdom from the Internet. Rather, your intuition affirms that the knowledge you are about to receive is correct. This is the sixth sense. And beyond it lies the seventh: a sense intensified by knowledge. The sixth sense is intuition. Intuition never misleads, and we cultivate it through meditation. The seventh sense is the sense of knowledge itself. It manifests as an image, a perception, and a certainty that arises from the heart. This knowledge stands whole and complete. Well, for those who write books, poetry, it descends in a flow. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. For practitioners, the flow never ceases.

Transformation While You Sleep
Many spiritual traditions regard sleep as a valuable resource and an extra span of time in which inner practice can continue. For instance, the Tibetan yogas of dream and sleep, rooted in ancient schools of Tibetan Buddhism, investigate the nature of both the sleeping and waking states.
In Kriya, we use the methods of Kriya Nidra to cultivate awareness even during sleep.
Ordinarily, people drift into sleep without noticing the transitional moment and remain completely unaware throughout the night. Kriya Nidra trains us to enter sleep consciously and to maintain awareness while the body rests. In doing so, we prevent the dissipation of vital force.
The next stage of the practice is to develop awareness of the one who remains present within the state of sleep. When the mind no longer interferes, the internal work carried out during sleep greatly accelerates personal transformation and spiritual growth. Kriya Nidra strengthens daytime concentration by continuing the work at the subconscious level throughout the night.
Lucid dreaming is almost meditation.

Why Do We Experience Sleep Problems?
Unless a person is dealing with a serious medical condition, disturbances to normal sleep patterns are most often caused by mental strain, emotional overload, stress, or unsettling thoughts.
Difficulty in falling asleep or remaining asleep originates in the mind. Our thoughts can activate negative programmes held in the subconscious. Combined with high levels of physical tension, this may provoke a range of bodily reactions. Sleep itself is a form of healing and restoration—a natural way for the nervous system to reset. Yet, in order for us to replenish our life energy, our consciousness must rise to very elevated states during sleep.
Imram
Our consciousness can ascend to such states only when we learn to deeply relax the body and let go of mental tension. Imram therefore recommends focusing primarily on the positive, and practising body energisation, breath meditation, and Kriya Nidra.
✅ How can you attune yourself to positivity before bedtime? In which direction should the head be placed while sleeping? How can you encourage lucid dreaming? You will find answers to these questions, and many others, in our practical Kriya Nidra webinar.
Dear friends, if you are concerned about the quality of your sleep or the nature of your dreams, we warmly invite you to watch this webinar ➡️ https://youtu.be/RK8knvk2DxU

Life is a journey, and this journey is yoga…
Our lives themselves are the path of yoga. When I hear that yoga is something separate from daily living, it strikes me as absurd, because people fail to recognise the essence of life. Life is a journey, and this journey is yoga, offering knowledge and insight.
