IS THERE A FINAL GOAL FOR KRIYA YOGA?
The ultimate goal of Kriya Yoga is to attain Sat, Chit, Anandam. Let me clarify these Sanskrit terms. Sat refers to the realisation of truth. Chit denotes the sublime consciousness or being, self-awareness. Anandam signifies bliss. I always say that every living being inherently seeks three primary things: to live long, enjoy life or at least derive happiness from this life, and cultivate self-awareness. Why are people afraid of death? Because we associate it with complete disappearance. Everyone desires to continue existing, to be. And the goal of Kriya yoga is to teach people to be, irrespective of their physical form, occupation, or attachments. In this state, one transcends attachment. Everyone wants to be, to stay aware of their being, and to remain eternal. This is the goal of Kriya yoga.
