❓ You often ask: “What’s the minimum age for attending seminars and retreats?”
Only individuals who have reached the age of majority (18+) may attend “Imram Kriya” seminars and retreats.
“May children practise Kriya Yoga?”
If a child is sufficiently developed (often influenced by their parents), ready, and interested, they can be introduced to yoga elements suitable for their understanding. For younger children, it is best to approach this in a playful manner. Teens aged 14 to 16 may begin learning powerful breathwork techniques, depending on their level of perception. Pranayama can place significant demands on the brain.
Only a genuinely spiritual person should introduce children to these practices when they are ready. This responsibility may fall to the child’s father. While powerful methods should be practised regularly, most children may not be prepared for consistent practice.
Parents should prepare in advance to guide their child on the spiritual path. To do this effectively, they need to be practitioners themselves. If parents made a conscious effort to welcome the new soul into this world — through prayer, meditation, and purification, — the child will absorb all spiritual teachings with their mother’s milk and their father’s mental and spiritual strength, allowing them to start practising at an early age. They will act like a spiritual being, and you will recognise their spiritual power. This is not a matter of pride but a reason to be thankful to God.
