Human CHAKRAS. Planetary levels. Subtle bodies

Self-development

27 October 2023

What are chakras? What color chakras have in reality? How to work with chakras?

These questions have been and will be of interest to everyone who practice yoga and directs his attention not only to the external but also to the internal, hidden things.

Several conversations between Imram and Svyatoslav Dubyanskiy is dedicated to this fundamental concept for yoga practitioners – CHAKRA. The new dialogue touches on the most basic aspects of this extremely large topic: how you can verify the existence of chakras on different planes, starting with the physical; how these energy-informational clots relate to psycho-emotional sphere and biochemistry of a person, and how much their work depends on the evolutionary progress of a person; Masters will discuss the color differentiation of chakras and their connection with various Deities.

Body Energisation

Science of Kriya

10 January 2025

In the practice of kriya yoga, there’s this concept called energisation of the body. Many people misunderstand it as just pumping yourself full of energy. But the practice of energising goes much deeper and addresses many issues. You can also find energising techniques in other fields, such as martial arts, which also work with the body and mind.

Essentially, we’re already that energy which holds immense potential. Our bodies are made up of five types of energies, or the five forces of the universe, or the five elements. This is the life force, prana, that has taken on a physical form. And within it, there’s knowledge about the universe and the creative power.

However, this energy can’t fully manifest because it lacks self-awareness. It’s sort of “asleep.” That’s why the cells in our bodies are unaware of their higher nature. Our neurons, atoms, molecules, and cells need to know themselves. By practising energisation, we are retraining all the structures of the body, shifting our consciousness and thereby transforming and refining our bodies.

How Energisation works

Energisation of the body operates on three planes: the physical, the astral (or subtle material), and the spiritual. The mental aspect is included here as well since thought is present.

To energise the body, we perform specific actions — this triggers significant internal work within the body thanks to our mental power, and we engage all our levels of consciousness in this internal process as much as possible. Physically, this involves concentration and awareness, which relates to the mental plane. We also infuse this process with a spiritual principle, which is a higher level of feeling.

Through energising exercises, we learn to feel all parts of our body and immediately direct energy to them. Where there is energy, there is life.

The life force, prana, flows into any part of the body and transforms it through your mental projection, which you apply to whatever you’re working on. This leads to a conscious act of pranisation of the body, that is, the prana begins to awaken and a person begins to feel their body more acutely.

We are what we think. We are what our attention is focused on.

In the psychological aspect, the practice of energisation brings up and releases negative programmes from the subconscious that prevent us from living fully and creatively. These programmes, combined with a negative attitude towards ourselves and life, can lead to psychosomatic reactions and, if they become entrenched in the body, can develop into pathologies.

Through a system of feedback, both peripheral and central nervous system, energising exercises build inter-hemispheric connections, awaken neural networks, and stimulate the brain, which is based on consciousness. This consciousness directs the energy of attention to different parts of the body, pulling out programmes that were embedded at birth or even at conception, as well as those formed throughout life.

When a person experiences stress, the brain records this programme and after a while the information moves to the hindbrain. If the individual doesn’t resolve the problem, it can settle in any part of the body that resonates with the vibrations of that information. So we accumulate a huge number of such programmes throughout our lives, and to get rid of them we use energising techniques.

By raising our hand upwards in tension, we feel that area and simultaneously become aware of the presence of a Higher Power. This includes our mental and astral strength, along with all the qualities of the energy that makes up that hand. We begin to perceive the hand not just as a physical part of the body, but as energy in the form of a hand, leading to a transformation of the body.

On a physical level, the body is cleansed through lymphatic activity. On a more subtle level we work with energy channels.

Before we tense our hand, we express an intention, sending an impulse or a desire that causes the muscles to contract. This is the simplest explanation of the process. But there’s a more complex understanding: first there is an idea, expressed as energy, which enables me to do this. At that moment prana becomes active.

I can tense my hand even more. In doing so, I draw energy from the space around me, because where my attention goes, energy follows. I direct it through my brain. The brain also draws strength from the surrounding space. I channel prana into my hand, which is expressed externally as magnetic or electrical force. The more external process is the physical strength. But if I focus my attention there, recognising it as the highest energy, then my atoms, molecules, cells, and the five types of energy behind them that make up my body and the entire world become more conscious.

Every time I focus my attention on a part of my body, I energise that part.

Energisation also affects the doshas that make up our bodies. This term from Ayurveda refers to the life energies that control all the processes within the body, and there are three of them: vata (air), pitta (fire), and kapha (earth). When we work through all the systems of the body during energisation, the energy at the level of these three doshas is restructured and brought into balance.

Thus, through the process of energisation, our bodies begin to renew and heal quite rapidly. They are transformed by the mental force,  which simultaneously cleanses the cells and fills them with light.

Effect of Energisation on brain and spine

If a person doesn’t succeed in getting healthy immediately due to the overwhelming number of external influences — physical, chemical and informational — they still become wiser. This is because the energisation of the body primarily develops the brain, inter-hemispheric connections, and neural pathways.

Through energising and magnetising the body, we rewrite neural connections and create new ones.

During the practice of energisation, the human spine, which houses the spinal cord, develops and eventually becomes a conscious, thinking substance, much like the brain.  This accelerates human evolution.  This is what we call a quantum shift or jump.

Acceleration is achieved by awakening of the functions of the brain, the medulla oblongata, and the spinal cord. To awaken the medulla, we use all the functions of the body. The medulla contains information about body position, tension, and relaxation. Any position of the body in space is registered by the medulla. When we change our body position with a high degree of concentration, we influence the medulla.

A person’s consciousness is connected to the superconscious. This alchemy gradually takes us to a divine level.

Energising exercises

In Kriya, we use the technique of “42 Kriyas” — these are energising exercises performed while standing. They not only transform the body on a cellular level but also help us learn to maintain a meditative state throughout the day.

By understanding the principle of energisation, we can effectively turn any movement into a conscious practice involving the brain, neural networks, and inter-hemispheric connections, allowing balance to arise naturally.

During seated energisation, we enter an even deeper state to learn self-exploration, diving deeper and deeper into the layers of our own nature and discovering ourselves there. This is a pause where the mind is so well controlled that the body calms down; you are not doing anything, but the very act of recharging the body and opening the nerve endings allows a person to enter a profound state beyond the mind.

There is a mental pause, and in that moment, wisdom awakens.

This path takes time, but above all it offers excellent health, immense strength, opportunities, and independence. In other words, you work independently in your own laboratory, exploring yourself like a true scientist. This is the most beneficial thing a person can do for themselves; it is the greatest work.

It is a direct path to powerful transformation.

With such a deep understanding, the question of “how to motivate yourself to practice” simply disappears. If we want to have a healthy, strong, and perfect body, we need to energise, fill, and renew it. When the body is energised, a person begins to feel a sense of power and experiences a creative aspect. They become a very interesting person to themselves. This develops a healthy form of egoism that allows one to rise to a higher level. As one improves, one begins to feel compassion for all — an open, big-hearted feeling. This is how Kriya works.

Each of us has the opportunity to reach a high level in one lifetime. With intensive regular practice, one can reach remarkable heights…
